Problem Solvers
Problem Solvers sort through the huge warehouse of data in
PlantTriage® and reveals specific opportunities to improve plant
performance. Whether your role is maintenance, operations, quality,
or engineering, there are Problem Solvers specifically designed to
help you improve plant performance.
Each Problem Solver is designed to hone in on specific issues that
directly affect plant performance. The Problem Solver sorts through
process, operations, and control information from across the plant,
then filters through the data, looking for the signs of specific
performance problems. Problem Solvers are available to anyone in the
plant via a simple web-browser interface.

The complete list of Problem Solvers is continually growing. The
partial list shown below will give you an idea of the types of
analysis that Problem Solvers can provide.
- Opportunity Gap Identify where you can adjust setpoints to increase
profits!
- Valve Repairs Needed—Stiction Valves that may require maintenance
due to problems with stiction. Stiction cycles are a known source of process
cycling/instability, as well as a source of reliability issues.
- Loops Need Tuning—Oscillatory Oscillating loops reduce the energy
efficiency of the plant. This Problem Solver pinpoints the culprits.
- Loops Need Tuning—Too Sluggish When a loop is tuned too slowly,
it is not able to bring the process back into control after a disturbance.
This can result in dangerous conditions or process shutdowns. Find out which
