PlantTriage Equation Builder

Perform custom calculations with the PlantTriage Equation Builder.

The Equation Builder is a fully-integrated component of the PlantTriage Control Loop Monitoring System. With the ability to read and write via OPC, the Equation Builder has a wide variety of uses, including:

Calculate business metrics, such as energy per ton
Determine plant, unit, or loop status (online/offline)
Act as a virtual sensor
Totalize, average, and summarize
Create your own proprietary, customized assessments

Connects to Any OPC Source

The PlantTriage Equation Builder connects to any OPC data source. becuase PlanTriage acts as an OPC server, you can also send results back out to an OPC client. Some PlantTriage clients will send results information back down to the their control syste, to integrate with operator displays.

The results of PlantTriage Assessments are available via OPC. So you can create your own assessments using the PlantTriage Assessments as a starting point.

Create Virtual Control Loops

Because the Equation Builder acts as an OPC Server, you can easily extend the capabilities of PlantTriage. For example, you can create a "Virtual Sensor" that is based on a variety of process measurements. You can test, validate, and analyze the results of your virtual sensor simply by feeding the Equation Builder results into a PlantTriage Loop configuration.

Create Custom Assessments

Do you have a great idea for control performance assessment? Or maybe a better way to track a certain business result on-line? Simply create the equation in the Equation Builder, and supply the result to PlantTriage. PlantTriage will track, trend, historize, and report the results exactly as it does for the 80+ built-in PlantTriage Assessments.
